Play and Learn Project
Supporting early learning through play by giving toys and books vital for children’s development.
Having toys and books at home is not only fundamental for cognitive and emotional development, but it is an important part of bonding between a carer and child.
We work with partner nurseries across the city to provide toys and books every month that families can take home as their own. Many families then bring back these cherished items once their child has outgrown them so another family can have the joy of reading and playing together.

I just want to say a massive thank you for the work you do, things are really tough out there for so many people and all our services are having massive cuts to resources so having this kind of support really is life changing for people.

Playing and reading is essential to a child’s development. You can help by donating your toys, books, or money.
You can donate new or pre-loved toys and books in excellent condition to support children’s learning and development.
